Doable, delicious ,imaginative recipes!!
As we have limited space in our R.V., I really enjoyed the More of the Four Ingredient Cookbook. The recipes are fun and easy to do with my grandchildren. They are delicious and imaginative. Much easier to try with only four ingredients. Great recipes!!

The Peach Tree Family Cookbook

Average review score:

The Peach Tree Family Cookbook
The Peach Tree Tea Room in Fredericksburg, TX is a delightful place to visit, browsing and shopping in the gift shop before and after having lunch. It is a place I, and other devoted patrons, return to time and again, for ambience and food. The cookbook represents the fare at the tea room, like the corn and potato chowder and garlic-jalapeno-potato bread--delicious there and made at home! The recipes are easy to follow with good results, and what a variety of recipes. Another reason the cookbook is so good!

Peter Coffee Teaches PCs (The Best Advice from the Best Authors)
Published in Paperback by Que (November, 1998)
Author: Peter Coffee
Average review score:

This book is full of information.
This is a PC book that you can actually sit down and read cover to cover. The conversational style just carries you along and, in the end, you've learned things you didn't even know you didn't know. A portion of the book is devoted to the question that troubles every computer owner from time to time: What should I buy (or use) to make my computer do what I want? This book is invaluable because it tells not "what to buy" but how to make the decision. If you've always thought of your computer as "just a box", or if you've always thought it was your fault when the machine didn't work properly, this book will open your eyes.

This is THE tea book
I own over 2,000 cookbooks and this is my favorite on the subject of tea and tea goodies. Many of the recipes have become standards in my home: scones, cucumber sandwiches, pate-filled baguettes... and, my all-time-#1 fave: English Triffle. Yum!

RCMP: The March West
Published in Hardcover by GAPC (May, 1999)
Author: Fred Stenson
Average review score:

A beautifully prepared history pictorial of the RCMP!
Fortunately for us, the creators of 'RCMP: The March West' have captured the magic and historical significance of the RCMP and a country now called Canada.

A fine contribution to Canadian history.

Rebel Cornbread and Yankee Coffee: Authentic Civil War Cooking and Camaraderie
Published in Paperback by Crane Hill Publishers (June, 2003)
Author: Garry D. Fisher
Average review score:

A delightful look into the daily life of Yanks and Rebels
Garry Fisher offers an engaging account of the doldrums of army life in the 1860s. Rebel Cornbread and Yankee Coffee is packed with historical facts, written in a manner that brings the past right into present (even into your kitchen). This book includes something for everyone who is curious about what daily life was like for the soldiers who fought and died in the War Between the States.

Garry Fisher's writing style is clean and clever. Throughout the book he skillfully weaves together vivid anecdotes with well-documented facts in an interesting and tastefully humorous way. Just a great read all around

Rio Claro: A Brazilian Plantation System, 1820-1920
Published in Hardcover by Stanford Univ Pr (April, 1976)
Author: Warren. Dean
Average review score:

A fine work!
Dean's work is an historical geography of a coffee growing region in São Paulo state. Issues of land ownership, including squatters' rights, the granting of sesmarias, and land speculation are of interest in this text. Dean also examines the frontier's allure in that social distinctions seem to disappear on the frontier. The reason Dean gives for the lack of social distinctions and privileges is that land ownership determines one's social status.

Second Cup of Coffee
Published in Paperback by Zondervan (February, 1981)
Author: Shaw
Average review score:

Storyline ....
This book is subtitled "Proverbs for Today's Woman" -- each reflection begins with one of the proverbs from the bible and then tells a story relating to that. They all relate to women, their work, and their families. Each story/reflection is complete on two pages so you can pick up this little book and read the proverb & the related story, then get on with your day, hopefully with a lighter heart. A very nice little book.
